Daydream Designs - Bitty Baby Girl Set Ensemble
My youngest daughter and family are expecting a new bundle of baby girl joy in June. When I saw the Bitty Baby Girl stamp set and matching papers at Diane's Daydream Designs I immediately had a project in mind!
I created a notecard box using the mini pizza box template found at SCS; the mini notecards were created using index cards found at office supply stores! I used the Bitty Baby Girl stamp set and the Bitty Baby Girl Paper Pack. The images and papers are so soft and delicate, perfect for my notecard box and cards.
You can find this set and so much more at Diane's Daydream Designs!

Simple Salutations Challenge #86 - Create a Sympathy Card
The Simple Salutations Challenge this week at Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps is to create a sympathy card. I decided to create a brayered background for my card. Hopefully, it provides a peaceful mind-set for whomever would receive it. I used the Marsh Silhouettes stamp set for both image and sentiment. I brayered distress inks onto a panel of ultra smooth cardstock before stamping the images using Memento Black ink. I also used a circle mask before I brayered the sky to create a setting sun in the horizon.
We hope you'll play along with the Simple Salutations Challenge for a chance to win a stamp from Mark's Finest Papers! You can find the challenge HERE.

Excited to Announce - I'm Part of the Dream Team for Diane's Daydream Designs!
I am so excited to be a member of the Dream Team for Diane's Daydream Designs! I look forward to designing projects using the adorable, family oriented digital stamps found in the Daydream Designs store.
For my first card as a member of the Design Team I used a scripture from the Dream Team Scripture Set Bundle. You'll find this very inspiring scripture in set 3; it is called Miesje's Moment 1.
I created my Z-fold card using a color I seldom use, yellow! The sentiment rests on a spellbinders label die cut; the patterned paper is from a retired Stampin Up Prints Pack; the leaf flourish is a Marianne die cut, the rose is from Recollections, and the stick pin is Maya Road. The lace on the corners is from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by; I wish everyone a Marvelous Monday!

Thank you for opportunity to play along with the Design Team. This is my last project as GDT, but I do look forward to participating in upcoming challenges!

Simple Salutations Challenge #85 - Stamp a Background!
The Simple Salutations Challenge at Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps is to create a card with a stamped background. I really enjoy creating CAS (clean and simple) cards...particularly using only the card base and no layers!
For my card, I used the sunflower from the Calendar stamp set and the sentiment from the newly released Medallion stamp set. I masked the center with a scrap piece of cardstock and then used several different colors of ink to stamp the sunflower image all over the base. I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment in the white space. I then stamped the flower again on a scrap piece of cardstock, fussy-cut it and adhered it with a dimensional.
We hope you'll play along with the Simple Salutations Challenge; if you do your name will be entered into a drawing for a stamp from Mark's Finest Papers!

Cuttin' & Stampin' Challenge - Think Spring!
February 17-23, 2014
Weekly Challenge: Spring is Here! (Oh don't we wish)
The team is celebrating the impending arrival of spring this week. We have created all sorts of wonderful projects for you using Maggie Holmes "Front Porch" paper collection (check it out here) and the Paper Smooches set "Green Thumb". Your challenge is to create something that to you represents spring.
The Green team has used both of these wonderful items to showcase our interpretation of what Spring means to them!
For my card I chose a patterned paper from the Front Porch paper pack that reminds me of an apron my grandma would wear while working in her garden. She also would wear a matching sunbonnet! Oh, how I remember those fun, carefree days of spring gardening with my grandma!
I used an apron die cut from Our Daily Bread Designs to create my apron shaped card. The stamped images were colored using Copic markers and then I fussy cut them out.
Check out the Cuttin' and Stampin' store for all your scrappy supplies!

Twisted Tuesdays Challenge - Anything But a Card with a Chipboard Twist!
The challenge at Twisted Tuesdays Challenge is Anything But a Card with the twist of adding some chipboard to your project!
For my project, I chose to alter a composition notebook! I first covered the front and back of the notebook using some pink paisley designer paper, added some lace on the front down the spine, then added a locker-mate denim pocket I found in a sale-reduction bin at WalMart! I added more lace...this time to through the belt loops on the pocket, added a heart charm to the belt loop and added a burlap flower over the left-side belt loop. The paisley DP had a bling word included in the pack so onto the denim pocket it was attached! The button in the lower right corner is chipboard buttons from that same paper pack; I added some twine and called it finished. This was a fun project!
We hope you'll join us with your anything but a card project at the Twisted Tuesdays Challenge! You can find the challenge HERE.

Sketch With a Twist Challenge #86 - Ribbon or Twine
This week's SWAT Challenge at Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps on SpeedyTV uses this sketch and twist:
The Twist is to use Ribbon or Twine somewhere on your card!
For my card, I wrapped some twine on a slant. I used an image and sentiment for the newly released Lucky Ducks stamp set! I also used patterned paper from the October Afternoon Sidewalks paper collection. Yellow card base with a lucky limeade cardstock layer that I embossed using the swiss dots embossing folder. The embellishments are from Basic Grey Fact or Fiction collection. The twine is American Crafts.
We hope you'll play along with our challenge this week; if you do you'll be entered into a drawing to win a stamp from Mark's Finest Papers! You can find the challenge HERE.

Word Art Challenge #119 - Anything Goes
This is my first time to participate in the challenge at Word Art Wednesday Challenge. What a beautiful, uplifting challenge site! For Challenge #119 the site offers the scripture from Psalm 34:10 as a freebie to use; however, it is not a requirement to use it as long as your card shares an uplifting, family-friendly image and/or sentiment. I chose to incorporate the scripture as the main focus into my square card. The patterned paper I used is from a We R Memory Keepers paper pack that I found at Tuesday Morning in the craft section recently. The lace is from my stash, the flowers are Prima Caboodles. The square lacey doily is a LifeStyle Crafts die. I used the Zutter 1/4" corner rounder on the sentiment and layering panel. Used the MS leaf punch to add some white leaves under the flower and also added a Maya Road heart shaped stick pin.
You can find the Word Art Wednesday Challenge HERE.
Crafting When We Can Challenge #63 - Bling it Up!
The Crafting When We Can Challenge is to use lots of bling! I have lots of bling in my stash so that's what I used...from my stash some bits and pieces of bling! The digi image is from the challenge sponsor, Art by Miran. It is called coffee time! She was sitting so pretty so I had to find something for her to actually sit on! I hand drew what looks like a fence rail (I actually wanted to make it look like a park bench, but thought I should stop while I'm ahead and not mess her up!) So my coffee time girl is relaxing on a fence rail and enjoying her cup of coffee! (as soon as this ton of snow is gone I'm going to do the same thing...find a fence rail to sit on so I can enjoy my cuppa relax outside!)
Here is a link to the challenge sponsor, Art by Miran.
For my image I created a square card, die cut some square lifestyle lacy dies and added my bling; image is colored using Copic markers. The flower embellishment is also from my stash.
We hope you'll play along with the Crafting When We Can Challenge and use lots of bling on your project! You can find the challenge HERE.

Medallion
Here is my card featuring the Medallion Stamp Set:
I love the medallion stamp and the sentiments included with this set. For my card, I stamped the medallion onto a piece of Prima patterned paper from the Printery collection. I stamped the medallion again onto a pice of scrap very vanilla cardstock and cut out the middle portion of the image and layered it onto the full stamped image. I adhered the cutout using a vintage brad. I wanted to give this card a vintage look so I distressed the edges of each panel and card base and then sponged distress ink on the edges. I embellished the lower right corner using a metal key and a small clock face button.
