2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop Day 8




For today's Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop entry I created a yellow/lemon yellow background on watercolor paper using Brusho pigment powders.  The coffee cup was die cut from Penny Black Love Cup die set and colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.  The sentiment is from PTI Flipping Out stamp set.  The fishtail banner die is from Frantic Stamper.

I used scraps of cardstock to create the background squares; the dies are from the Frantic Stamper Your Cup of Tea and Scallop Border Trio.  The cup embellishment trims were colored using Chameleon markers.

For my card I used the Need Coffee stamp and die set from Pink & Main.  The watercolor background was created using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink; the image was watercolored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and aqua brush.

Sparkles Challenge #93 - Embossing (Heat or Dry)


The Sparkles Monthly Challenge is to use embossing (heat or dry).  I chose to use an embossing folder to create a dry embossed background.  The colorful center was created by masking the sides of the panel and inking with distress inks and rubbing the inked area using Perfect Pearls powder.  The panel was then embossed with the folder.  The die cut hello is from Cheery Lynn Designs Bohemian Words dies.  The butterfly is punched from a Martha Stewart punch.
