Sailing the Seven Seas - Twisted Tuesday Challenge #53

We are sailing the seven seas over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges!  The theme is nautical and the twist is to use at least seven (7) embellishments (or more if you want) on your project.  The challenge can be found here.

I used Heartfelt Creations stamp from the Sand and Sea stamp set.  Webster Pages background DP, Spellbinders dies, compass charm, burlap, cheesecloth, jute, 4 real sea shells, a sand dollar, and netting.

Inspired By A Song

Clothes Make The Man - Challenge #52 at Twisted Tuesday

In honor of Father's Day, the Twisted Tuesday Challenge #52 is to create a masculine project, the twist is we want to see clothes on your project!  The challenge can be found here.

I used the Tim Holtz Umbrella Man die cut for the main image; the background cardstock is from My Minds Eye.  Also used a TH flourish die cut, TH embellishments, and the ticket was stamped with a stamp from the TH Stampers Anonymous set called The Journey.

Anything with Wings!

I LOVE butterflies so can't resist entering this card into the Anything with Wings challenge at Eclectic Ellapu.  The challenge can be found here. 

The background was created using wet watercolor paper and Gouache Fine Touch Paints.  the edge of the panel was distressed with white paint.  The butterfly is a cheerylynn die cut, painted with copper acrylic paint.  When the background panel was dry, I used the paint directly onto the magenta stamp before stamping the floral image.

Just Returned from CKC and Have Some New DT News!

Had a fabulous time with friends at CKC Fort Wayne this weekend!  Found lots of new craftiness and goodies!  When I returned home, I also found an email with some exciting news!  I am a member of a new Design Team for a new challenge blog called Altered Eclectics!  It will be an anything goes challenge for anything altered, but no cards, no ATCs, and no layouts!  The challenge blog will go live on July 1!!  Here's a link to the blog, Altered Eclectics.
