The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Any Card Shape but Rectangle

 

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge theme is "Any Card Shape but Rectangle."

For my card I created a square card using black cardstock base.  The die cut is Spellbinders Adoria Square Shadowbox Frame using Metallic Copper cardstock.  I created the floral design on black watercolor paper using an aqua brush and Fine Tec Iridescent Colours.  I used short brush strokes to create the petals and stem with leaves.  Embellished using copper sequins.

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Embossing

 

The Sisterhood of Crafters theme is to use "embossing"

For my card, I used The Stampin Up Pinewood Plank embossing folder.  I embossed it on Canson Bristol Mixed Media cardstock then used the SU Early Espresso ink pad direct to the raised lines.  Using a waterbrush, I pulled the color into the wood giving it the look of real wood!  I embellished using clear gems, a Tim Holtz Quote Chip, and the butterfly is from Stampin Up Springtime Impressions Dies.
