The Sisterhood of Crafters - Dashing Through the Snow!

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge is a snow theme... use a snowman, or create a snow scene, make sure to use snow on your card/project!

For my card, I used the Darice Snowflake Embossing folder for the background, torn paper to create snowdrifts, Penny Black Beneath the Birches die for the trees, Penny Black Snowy stamp and Penny Black Frosty's Snow die.  Image colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and aqua brush.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Love the look of black on kraft (crumb cake cardstock) with a little added splash of white (patterned paper scrap)!

For my card, I used the Penny Black Peony stamp and the Penny Black Script stamp and stamped using Memento Black ink.

CAS Snowy Park

I created this card for the Monday SCS CAS Challenge #462 using the Penny Black Snowy Park stamp and Penny Black Happy Snippets sentiment.  The image was stamped using Walnut Stain Distress Ink, sentiment stamped using Archival Black ink onto a Fabriano Medioevalis Notecard.  Since the challenge was to give the project a "chilled" look I used a 2 way glue pen and dazzling diamond glitter to include a bit of chilly, sparkley snow on the card!  THEN, to my surprise, my card was included as a CAS 2017 annual favorite!

For my CAS card I used the Penny Black A Blizzard dies cutout using glitter cardstock.  The sentiment is from MFP New Year stamp set (retired) stamped using going gray ink.

HMFMC #256 - ATG or Christmas Challenge

The House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #256 theme is anything goes or Christmas.

For my card, I used the House Mouse Designs Elf Gifts and the sentiment is from Penny Black Snippets.  I used Spellbinders Grand Labels 4 to create a shaped card using cardstock from the Paper Studio Plaid paper stack for the cardbase.  The image was stamped on white cardstock and colored using Chameleon Colored Pencils and Gamsol.

I'm happy to host the anything goes challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

For my card I used the Penny Black The Unfolding cling stamp.  I colored directly to the stamp using Tombow markers and spritzing with water before stamping onto the cardstock.  A very simple card using a sentiment from a Stampin Up stamp set.

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Where in the World...

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge is to create a card or project showing something about the country and/or state in which you live.

By chance, I found this Greetings from Indiana stamp at CreekBank Creations while attending a craft retreat a couple months ago.  There you have it, I live in Indiana, the state bird is the Cardinal, the state flower is the Peony.  The stamp was inked using Memento Black ink, the Cardinal was die cut from a Tim Holtz die and colored using chameleon markers.  The background was stamped using the Penny Black Peony stamp, and the little "peony" was created using circle punches!  (I really like the way my card turned out!)

2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop Day 8

For today's Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop entry I created a yellow/lemon yellow background on watercolor paper using Brusho pigment powders.  The coffee cup was die cut from Penny Black Love Cup die set and colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.  The sentiment is from PTI Flipping Out stamp set.  The fishtail banner die is from Frantic Stamper.

Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Favorite Color Combination

The Sparkles Monthly Challenge theme is to use your favorite color combination.  For me, I love using shades of pink and green together!  I used aqua markers to color directly to the stamp, mist it with water and stamp it onto watercolor paper.  I then used apple green aqua marker to create a wash behind the image.  The image is from Penny Black The Unfolding.

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Colors of Halloween Photo Inspiration

We are using a Halloween Colors Photo as Inspiration at The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge.

For my card, I used the Penny Black stamp Nature's Paintbrushes.  I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to color directly onto the stamp, then spritzed with water and stamped onto watercolor paper.  The sentiment is from MFP Chrysanthemums stamp set.  To embellish I used purple sheer ribbon to create a multi-looped bow and added a pearl to its center.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #23 - Snowman

The OLCCC is always anything Christmas goes as long as it is one layer.  For challenge #23 the optional twist is Snowman!

For my card I used the Penny Black Snowy stamp and the sentiment is from the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk stamp set.  I stamped the image and sentiment using Ranger Archival Black ink onto Ranger watercolor 140lb cardstock.  The image was watercolored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and water brush.  I added some small adhesive pearls to embellish.

Eclectic Ellapu Pink Team December Challenge - 12 Days of Christmas

This month's Eclectic Ellapu Pink Team Challenge theme is 12 Days of Christmas!

I found this adorable Penny Black 12 Days of Christmas stamp set a long time ago and this is the first time it's been inked!

I created 12 4x4 notecards using index cards as the card base.

The One Layer Christmas Card Challenge (OLCCC) is always anything Christmas goes as long as it is one layer.  There is an optional twist with each challenge and the twist for this challenge is reindeer.

For my card I used the Penny Black Gathering stamp and the sentiment is from the Stampin Up Bright Christmas set.

OLCCC - Optional Twist: Candles

The OLCC Challenge is to create a one layer Christmas card.  It is always anything goes with an optional twist.  The twist for this challenge is Candles.

For my card, I used the Stampin' Up Canvas background stamp on vanilla cardstock.  The candle is Penny Black Xmas Light.  I colored the image direct to stamp using waterbased markers and then stamping the image onto the card base.  The edges were sponged using distress ink and the candle glow was sponged using SU So Saffron ink.
