OLCCC #27 - One Layer Christmas Card Anything Goes - Reminder

My reminder card for OLCCC #27 uses a stamp from the Stampin Up Christmas Cardinal retired stamp set.  I stamped the image on Crumb Cake cardstock using Memento black ink and colored it using Prisma Colored Pencils and sponged white pigment ink around the image.  The challenge details are listed below.

The OLCCC is always anything Christmas goes as ling as it is one layer.  This is a way to get a head start on your holiday cards, especially cards that do not require extra postage when mailed!

For my card, I used images from the Holiday Silhouettes stamp set, stamped using black archival ink.

We hope you'll share your one layer Christmas cards with us.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge #53 - Circles/Dots

The Serendipity Stamps Challenge #53 is to used Circles/Dots.  For my card, I created a circle stencil and inked it using distress inks for the large circle, then stamped images from Serendipity Stamps Hollyhocks stamp and the sentiment is from Serendipity Stamps Relax stamp set.  After stamping the hollyhocks I did a partial color image outline using Staedtler triplus fineliner pens.  Finished the card by rounding the bottom corners and using part of the swiss dots embossing folder at the bottom edge of my CAS card.

I'm entering my card in the Serendipity Stamps Challenge #53 - Circles/Dots

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #124 - Celebrate Women's Day

The Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #124 is to create a project to celebrate women's day.

For my card, I used the Becoming (that person) stamp from Unity Stamp Co.  I stamped the image onto a panel I cut from a Concord & 9th Happy Hues cardbase, colored the hearts using gel pens and embellished the panel using a MS punched butterfly.  A very easy peasy card with a powerful message!

We hope you'll share your "celebrate women's day" projects with us at Ruby's Rainbow Challenge.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Altered Eclectics March Challenge

For my altered project I recycled packing paper into a scrunched layered blossom.  I had a large paper clip on my craft desk so decided to plop that blossom onto the clip to create a bookmark.

Packing paper ... recycled into the layered blossom!

To create the blossom I used a scallop punch and punched out several scallops, then layered each scallop (about 10 of them) and pierced a hole in the center of the stack and added a small brad.  The scallops were then scrunched up around the brad and then fluffed out to shape and create the blossom!

We hope you'll share your altered items with us this month.  You can find the Altered Eclectics Challenge HERE.
