Serendipity Stamps Challenge #54 - Emboss!

The April challenge at Serendipity Stamps Blog is to "emboss" - dry embossed using an embossing folder or heat embossed using embossing powder.  For my card I used the Serendipity Corner Vase stamp set and the Sizzix Bricked embossing folder.

I used Bristol 96lb cardstock, stamped the image using Archival black ink then used a water brush and Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to color the image and do a soft color wash behind the image.  Once dry, I embossed the image panel with the Bricked embossing folder and adhered the stamped and colored panel to the card base.  A very CAS card with no ribbon and no embellishments so the focus would be on the stamped, colored, and embossed image.

I'm entering my card in the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog SSCB#54 found HERE.

OLCCC #29

The OLCCC #29  (One Layer Christmas Card Challenge) is always anything goes as long as it is Christmas and one layer (card base only) aka CAS (clean and simple)!

For my card, I used Serendipity Stamps image and sentiment from the Steeple stamp set.  The snowflakes are from Technique Tuesday stamp set.  I created a mask and sponged the strip of color using distress ink before stamping the image.

We hope you'll share your one layer Christmas cards with us at the OLCCC.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge #53 - Circles/Dots

The Serendipity Stamps Challenge #53 is to used Circles/Dots.  For my card, I created a circle stencil and inked it using distress inks for the large circle, then stamped images from Serendipity Stamps Hollyhocks stamp and the sentiment is from Serendipity Stamps Relax stamp set.  After stamping the hollyhocks I did a partial color image outline using Staedtler triplus fineliner pens.  Finished the card by rounding the bottom corners and using part of the swiss dots embossing folder at the bottom edge of my CAS card.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge #52 - Anything Goes!

I LOVED inking up this beautiful Serendipity Stamp called Bandana!  I inked the stamp using distress ink and stamped it onto white cardstock.  The sentiment is die cut from the Serendipity Stamps Howdy die.  My card is a 5" square with several layers.  To embellish I used gingham ribbon to create a pleated spiral "flower" and adhered a button in the center, the leaves are from MayArts Ribbon.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge - Stripes

Back in October I participated in the Hope You Can Cling To challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  As a result, those who participated were entered into prize drawings!  I was so very fortunate to win the gift certificate from Serendipity Stamps!  Thank you Serendipity Stamps for being a HYCCT sponsor.

I fell in love with this stamp and used part of my winnings for it (I also used the winnings to get a coordinating stamp and dies, that will be used another day!)  This image reminds me so much of my granddaughters!

I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and colored it using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and a waterbrush.  The striped DSP is from a retired Stampin' Up paper pack.  The image is called Cowgirl.

I'm entering my card in the current Serendipity Stamps Challenge to use Stripes, SSCB#51 found HERE.
