"Just Us Girls" Photo Week Challenge #260

 
 
Fall is my favorite season!  I love the colors and crisp, cool air it brings!
 
For my card, I used digital images from Diane's Daydream Designs.  The tree scene and sentiment are from the In Love With Fall stamp set and the houndstooth paper is from the Garden Delights Paper Pack.  The cardstock and background paper are Stampin Up.
 
I'm entering my card in the Just Us Girls Challenge to use the fall picture as our inspiration.

MFP SWAT Challenge #116 - Stamp Your Background!

 
The Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., Sketch With a Twist Challenge (SWAT) #116 is to use this sketch with the TWIST of stamping your background!
 
 
For my card I used the MFP Snowflakes Stamp set.  I stamped the snowflakes using brocade blue ink and created a triple looped bow to embellish my card.

Crafting When We Can Challenge #79 - No Designer Paper!

 
The Crafting When We Can challenge is to use no designer paper on your project!  For my DT card, I used the wet paper watercolor technique to create the background.  Wet a piece of watercolor paper, ink your stamp and stamp it onto the wet paper!  Let the paper dry and the way the ink runs creates a beautiful background!  I used several different leaves from the Stampin Up French Foliage stamp set to create the colorful watercolored background.
 
The image is from the challenge sponsor, ArtByMiran called Autumn's Memoirs! 
 
 
I colored the image on my card using both Copic markers and Prisma Colored Pencils and gamsol.

I stamped the sentiment onto rust colored cardstock and then cut it between the words to layer onto my card.

The sentiment stamp would not fit onto the cloud punch-out, so I first masked the word Birthday using scotch tape before inking the word Happy; after inking, I pulled the tape off and stamped Happy then masked Happy and inked Birthday, pulled the tape off and stamped Birthday onto the cloud punched shape.  The "trick" is to remember to pull the tape off before stamping!
