Altered Eclectics August Challenge

I altered this paper mache' letter to give to a secret sister.  I decided to share my creation as my Altered Eclectics Design Team project for August!

I painted the letter using a soft green acrylic paint and then painted over it using Ranger crackle paint.  Then the fun of decorating it!  I used lots of gems, an acrylic floral spray, a purple fabric flower I pulled from a floral arrangement, some white tulle for the bow, some white fabric leaves, a Masonite flourish, and a butterfly punched from a Martha Stewart punch.

We hope you will play along with the Altered Eclectics August Challenge; it's always anything goes as long as it is something that has been altered (no cards, scrap pages, or tags).

You can find the challenge HERE.

Today's challenge is to make a Stamped Frame. (If you prefer, you could make an all purpose frame! That way you could use it year round!)

Here's Sue's Tutorial on MFPSpeedyTV

I used the tree from the Please Snow stamp set and the sentiment is from Christmas Bridge stamp set.
The frame has a canvas cover that took ink very well; I colored the tree using Copic markers and embellished the frame with a multi-looped bow.  I sponged ink on the sides to give the frame some depth for the stamped images.  (Thank you to Sue for sending me the blank frame to use for my project!)

We hope you'll play along with the challenge this week.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Here is Sandy's Tutorial on MFPSpeedyTV

I used the Snowflakes stamp set to create the wrap around for my canister.  I embellished it with some clear snowflake buttons.  A dark blue flower from my stash adorns the lid!  I used lace from my stash around the top and bottom edges of the canister after applying the stamped wrap.

Today's challenge is to make a Stove Top Popcorn Cover Decorative Wall Hanging. (If you prefer, you could make any season or generic scene. That way you could use it year round!)

Here is Vickie's Tutorial on MFPSpeedyTV

The above project covers the Jiffy-Pop Popcorn pan using the handle as the hanger.

The above scene uses a "smooshed" aluminum pan as the base with lace and cover over it.  the tulle serves as the hanger.
Alternative bases for your wall-hanging could be cardboard, posterboard, paper plate, etc.

For both covers I used the Please Snow stamp set.
