The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge theme was chosen by Darlene, "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas."

For my card, I used traditional Christmas colors.  The Merry Christmas was die cut from a Simon Says Stamp die, the snowflakes and candle are from my "already die cut" bag.  I used a snowflake embossing folder to give some texture to the background.

We hope you'll share your "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" projects with us.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #117 - Red, White, & Blue

The theme for Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #117 was chosen by Shaz and is to use Red, White, and Blue.

Today is Veterans Day here in the states, a time to honor all of our past and present military.

For my red, white, and blue card I went with a patriotic red, white, and blue theme.  I used papers from my stash for the background, created a "bunting" using the Martha Stewart lace border punch, and die cut stars using glitter cardstock from the Stampin Up Stars die set.  The sentiment is a Hampton Arts stamp.

We hope you'll share your red, white, and blue projects with us at Ruby's Rainbow Challenge.  You can use any theme as long as you use red, white, and blue!  You can find the challenge HERE.

OLCCC #21 Reminder

It's not too late to share your one layer Christmas cards with us at  OLCCC!  The optional twist is reindeer!

For my card, I used Stampin Up Dasher stamp and the sentiment is from PTI Faux Ribbon stamp set.  I created the background using Sepia Color Burst watercolor powder and water.  Dasher's antlers are embellished using adhesive pearls; image stamped using Ranger Archival Black ink and a bit of splatter using white distress paint.

We hope you'll share your one layer Christmas cards with us.  You can find the challenge HERE.

CWWC Challenge - Pink & Lime Green

The Crafting When We Can (CWWC) Challenge is to use pink and lime green.  The CWWC Challenge sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and I'm using Bubbles Jolly Elf image provided by the sponsor.

For my card, I used Spellbinders scallop and circle dies to create a circle shaped card.  The image was colored using copic markers and a multi-looped bow embellishes the card.

We hope you'll share your pink and lime green cards with us at CWWC.  You can find the challenge HERE.

This month's challenge at Gruffies & Guests is to use  the colors red or green or both!  Gruffies & Guests Challenges are for projects/cards using House Mouse, Happy Hoppers, or Gruffies images only.

For my red and green card I used the House Mouse stamp Whee Flight.  The image fit perfectly with a sentiment from the MFT stamp set "start each day with whee!"

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge - Water & Stencil

The challenge this week at MFP Speedy Fox & Friends is create a background using ink, stencil, and water!  The blog will have a link to a tutorial for this fun background.

For my card, I used distress inks  to sponge color on my white cardstock panel, then used a stencil from Michael's Recollections on top of the sponged color and spritzed with water.  Removed the stencil to a "water bleached" image.  Once dry, I used a butterfly and sentiment from the Hello Butterflies stamp set.

We hope you'll use the tutorial found on the MFP Blog and share your creations with us.  You can find the tutorial and challenge HERE.
