My 3D project is an all occasion gift bag with attached tag.  This will be the perfect container for a Mother's Day gift!
I used images from the Doodle Flowers stamp and die set.  I first stamped the medium flower randomly on the gift bag then stamped the hello between the images.  Flowers were colored using alcohol markers.  The tag background was sponged uisng D2BA inks.  Images on the tag were stamped, colored, and die cut using the Doodle Flowers die set.

Dies R Us Playful Monkeys!

My card is a top-fold card that I used the Poppy Stamps Jungle Vine Oval die to create the opening.

I then die cut three monkeys from the Poppy Stamps Happy Monkey die, and die cut the word smile from the Penny Black Heartfelt die set.

Here's a tip when die cutting a figure that needs to be pieced together - die cut from white cardstock and then color using your markers, pencils, etc., before piecing together.

I colored the tree and vines using alcohol makers and then placed a solid color of designer paper behind the die cut card front.

Here's a close-up of these playful monkeys!

To complete my card I placed the die cut smile in the lower right corner of the card as shown in the completed card at the top.

For my card I used an image provided by Sasayaki Glitter called  Mermaid Texting.  I added some dazzling diamonds glitter to the torn paper and the swirl gems is from Spare Parts.  The starfish and lobster were die cut from metallic paper for lots of shine (dies used from Gina Marie Designs).

Going to the Beach

I'm very excited to share my first blog post with you as a DiesRUs Inspiration design team member.

Today, we are going to the Beach with Memory Box and Impression Obsession dies!

First, I'll share with you the process of putting my card together, then I'll put links to the DiesRUs online store of each die set I used.

The card base is 4 1/4 inches square.  I then cut a piece of blue cardstock at 4 1/8 inches to layer onto the card base.

For the next layer used the Memory Box Pinpoint Square Layers dies by cutting the 4x4 inch die in white, then cutting the 3.6x3.6 inch die cut in blue for the image panel.  I die cut each die I plan to use and lay them out on my craft mat as seen below.

I used alcohol markers to color the Memory Box Beachfront Segulls die cuts.

Then I begin the process of adhering the die cuts to my card!  First, I adhere the fence, then the seagrass, then the birds in the sky, and finally the beachfront seagulls.

I'm sharing my card created for the Frantic Stamper April Dads and Grads dies release.  For my card I used Large Bob's Old Trick dies and the clouds from the Soaring Airplane dies found in the April 2017 release.

D2BA April Guest DT - LIve Love Lake

Today I'm sharing another card I created as the Guest Designer for Dare 2B Artzy.  I used the Live Love Lake stamp set, theTropical D2BA ink cubes, and designer paper from  the Doodles Variety Paper Pack.

The background was created using the acrylic block, ink, water misting, smooshing technique!

Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Favorite Color Combination

The Sparkles Monthly Challenge theme is to use your favorite color combination.  For me, I love using shades of pink and green together!  I used aqua markers to color directly to the stamp, mist it with water and stamp it onto watercolor paper.  I then used apple green aqua marker to create a wash behind the image.  The image is from Penny Black The Unfolding.

Friends of Flourishes Challenge - Anything Goes

This week the Friends of Flourishes challenge was brought to us by team member Gloria...anything goes.

For my card, I used the newly released Flourishes, lc Vintage Easter stamp set.  The card base only card was die cut from Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles die after I stamped the image.  
The creative fun with the Vintage Easter stamp set is it isn't just for Easter...the images can be used for any kind of card.  My granddaughter likes rabbits, so I'll use the rabbit image to create a birthday card; my grandson likes baby chicks...yep, a baby chick thinking of you card will be on its way to him!  The posibilities are endless!

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Use Your Stamps!

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge is to get inky and use stamps...not digital stamps!

For my card, I used stamps from the Unity Stamps Company January 2017 KOTM!  I love these kits and don't use them as often as I should!  I stamped the image using Archival Black ink onto 100% cotton watercolor paper and colored using an aquabrush and zig clean color real brush pens.  I die cut the image panel and adhered it to the card base using dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped and die cut using a double fishtail label.

PIP Challenge #1715

For my card, I used the Giraffe 3 digi stamp.  The cardstock is from my stash, the filmstrip die cut is from Frantic Stamper, Inc.  Embellished using a multi-looped ribbon and two ladybug buttons.

Dare 2B Artzy Guest Designer!

I'm excited to share that I am the April Guest Designer for Dare 2B Artzy!

For my first card this month I used the Butterfly Inspiration stamp set.

To create the background I inked two of the butterfly images using inks from the Dare 2B Artzy Festive and Tropical ink cubes and stamped onto watercolor cardstock.  Using a #9 round watercolor brush and lots of water I pulled the color from the stamped images, then dried the panel using a heat tool.  I stamped the larger butterfly onto the watercolored background using Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink.  Stamped the butterfly again on a scrap piece of watercolor cardstock then smooshed the Festive and Tropical ink cubes onto my craft mat and picked the color up with an aquabrush to color the butterfly, heat set, and then fussy cut it to overlay on the black stamped butterfly image.

It’s my week to host the Friends of Flourishes Challenge.  The challenge theme is Pastels.  Spring is here and Easter is just around the corner.  When I think of spring, soft pastel colors come to mind. Remember when stores used to display colorful, real baby chicks around Easter?  

For my card, I used the Flourishes l.c Vintage Easter stamp set.  The beautiful cardstock is from the Flourishes Color Made Easy New Violet Collection and matching ribbon.  The designer paper is from my stash.
