This week's Simple Salutations Challenge at Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., is to create a masculine card.
For my card I used the bare tree image and a sentiment from the Chill in the Air stamp set. I was inspired by a card I saw in the gallery at SCS that sponged distress ink around bare trees, so I decided to also use that method to achieve the look of a leafy tree! I also used a technique called pointillism which is using markers (Copic markers used on my card) to create little dots of color. Two enamel dots embellish the right corner of my card. I sponged a blue sky and used Copic markers to create the ground.
We hope you'll play along with the Simple Salutations Challenge this week; if you do, you'll be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a stamp from Mark's Finest Papers.
You can find the challenge HERE.
Beautiful card. Love the techniques you used.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of making the tree a year round image. I love seeing stamps in a new light.
