Ruby's Rainbow Challenge theme "anything goes" was chosen by DT member Debbie.

For my card I used an image from the retired Stampin Up Costume Bears stamp set.  The background paper is from Graphic 45.  I colored the image using Copic Markers.

We hope you'll share your anything goes projects with us at Ruby's Rainbow Challenge.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Altered Eclectics February Challenge

The Altered Eclectics Challenges are always anything goes as long as it is Mixed Media, Recycled, Upcycled, or Altered items.

For my February project I altered a tablespoon!  My wonderful husband used a rubber mallet to pound the bowl of the spoon as flat as he could get it!  I then used Ranger Alcohol inks to give the dull silver spoon some color.  I embellished the spoon with a string of adhesive pearls on the handle, some paper flowers, a multi-looped bow, a metal Prima flower and a butterfly.  (This project was very difficult to get a good, clear photograph.)

We hope to see your altered projects this month!  You can enter the challenge HERE.

Eclectic Ellapu Pink Team February Challenge - Love Actually!

The Pink Team Challenge at Eclectic Ellapu this month is Love Actually!  Create a project using a Love theme!

For my card, I created a watercolor wash background and layered that panel onto coral cardstock panel.  Die cut Spellbinders heart, the sentiment is Paper Smooches die cut.  I embellished using some adhesive pearls.

We hope you'll share your Love themed projects with us this month.  You can find the challenge HERE.

MFP Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes!

This week's MFP Stamps Challenge is anything goes!

For my card, I used the MFP Stamp Shop Hello Butterflies stamp set.  I die cut the side of the white panel and layered a green panel under it.  The butterfly was stamped and colored using green Copic marker and then fussy cut and adhered to the panel; the sentiment is also from the Hello Butterflies stamp set.

We hope you'll share your Anything Goes cards with us this week.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Let's get started !!

I used the MFP Stamp Shop Island Life for the image and sentiment.  I colored the image using Copic Markers.  I used the paper tearing technique then sponged distress ink around the torn edges.  The image panel was adhered to a rectangle of burlap and embellished using a small knotted piece of rope.

Let's get started !!

I used the MFP Stamp Shop coffee circle from the Java Time stamp set to highlight the sentiment; the shells are from the Silly Shells set, and the sentiment is from the Island Life set.  The background was created by dragging the edge of 3 distress ink colors directly across the cardstock.  I embellished using a thin piece of rope to frame the stamped panel.
