MFP SWAT Challenge #106 - For a Friend

This week's SWAT Challenge at Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., uses this sketch:
The TWIST is to create a card for a friend using this sketch.

For my card, I used the Butterfly Sayings stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers.  I fussy cut the butterfly, colored it, and then smooshed it into illuminate versamark ink and heat embossed it using Iridescent Ice embossing powder to give it lots of sparkle.  I used ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon to create the ribbon loop at the top of the image panel.

We hope you'll play along with the MFP Sketch With a Twist Challenge (SWAT Challenge) this week.  If you do you'll be entered to win a random drawing for a stamp from Mark's Finest Papers.

I'm a Guest Designer for the Month of July at The Outlawz CAS Challenges!

I recently started entering the CAS (clean and simple) challenges at The Outlawz Challenge site!  Much to my surprise I received an invite from Pryn, the CAS Challenge team leader asking if I would like to be a guest designer for the month of July!  Yes, yes, yes!  Thank you for the opportunity!

The theme for this week's CAS challenge is "To the Dawgz!"  The challenge is to create a card or project featuring a dog or dog related item, and keep it CAS and have FUN!

For my card, I used the Little Boys stamp set from Stampin' Up.  It is a retired set but one of my all-time favorites because it reminds me of my five grandsons!

I hope you'll play along with the Outlawz CAS Challenge!  You can find the challenge HERE.

Crafting When We Can Challenge - Friendship

The Crafting When We Can Challenge theme for the next two weeks is Friendship!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I did not receive the image from the wonderful sponsor in time to create a card using the Say Cheese image.

I LOVE the Bouquet of Daisies digi stamp set from Daydream Designs and used an image, paper, and sentiment from that set for my friendship card.

We hope you'll play along with the Crafting When We Can Challenge and create a friendship card.  Just follow the challenge guidelines and you'll be entered to win a $20 gift certificate from the sponsor, Penny Blossom!

Gruffies and Guests Summer Themed July Challenge and House Mouse and Friends Anything Goes HMFMC173

It's the first Saturday of the month and time for the Gruffies and Guests Challenge.  This month we are making summer themed cards or projects.  Each card or project you enter into the challenge must use a House Mouse, Happy Hoppers, or Gruffies image.

For my card, I used the Happy Hoppers stamp called Bunny Cruise!  What a relaxed bunny floating down the river!  I used cardstock from my stash, a swirls embossing folder, a sun die cut and a banner die cut with the dream sentiment stamped on it.  The sentiment is from a dollar stamp I found at Michaels a few years ago.

We hope you'll play along with this month's Gruffies and Guests Summer challenge!

This month's challenge sponsor is:

MFP Sketch With a Twist Challenge #105 - Baby Announcement!

The SWAT Challenge this week at Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., is to create a baby announcement and use this sketch:

My card is the perfect card to announce that I'm a grandma to a sweet bundle of joy named Bella!  Bella was born on June 10.  She is my ninth grandchild!

For my card I used the MFP Bundle of Joy stamp set.  I stamped and cut the image out using a Spellbinders die, the banner is an EK Success punch and the cardstock and ribbons are from my stash.  The image was colored using Copic markers.

We hope you'll play along with the SWAT Challenge this week; if you do, you'll be entered to win a stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers!
