The Sisterhood of Crafters - Embossing

The Sisterhood of Crafters theme is to use "embossing"

For my card, I used The Stampin Up Pinewood Plank embossing folder.  I embossed it on Canson Bristol Mixed Media cardstock then used the SU Early Espresso ink pad direct to the raised lines.  Using a waterbrush, I pulled the color into the wood giving it the look of real wood!  I embellished using clear gems, a Tim Holtz Quote Chip, and the butterfly is from Stampin Up Springtime Impressions Dies.

We hope you'll share your embossed (wet or dry) with us at The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge.

  1. WOW what a great job of coloring on this embossed panel. I thought it was designer paper at first ... Coool!! The sentiment & butterfly are the perfect finishing touches! Beautifully done my friend! Hope things are good on the home front (keeping you all in my prayers).

  2. Fabulous job with the inking on this embossed wood panel, Vickie! It looks like natural weathered wood. Love that sentiment too.
