It's fun to see craft techniques making a comeback! I remember creating shaker cards several years ago and now the trend is back! For my card, I stamped the image onto white cardstock, colored it using brown pearlescent chalk pastels, fussy cut it out, then sponged some walnut distress ink to give it some depth. I searched for a shaker tutorial and decided to use a very simple shaker layout for my card. The sequins are from Walmart! The sentiment stamp is wood block and has been in my stash for a long time. The designer paper is from my scrap bin.

This is adorable. I love the dog with his Santa hat. What a cute idea and adding the red and green sequins for your shaker is cute as can be.

Shaker cards went out of trend? Oops, I just love making them. I always get compliments on shakers. Guys love the fun factor and don't care about what's "in". This one is adorable for any animal lover. Love the Spanish with the chihuahua.
