This week's MFP Oriental Sketch Challenge uses this sketch:
For my card, I decided to get away from the traditional Oriental papers and colors and go with shades of Pink! However, I did use Oriental waterlily image and sentiment from the MFP Stamp Shop Koi Fish stamp set. I fussy cut the image and used 3 layers of the lily to give it dimension. I had some watercolor scraps that I stamped the sentiment on and used a circle punch to cut it out and mount onto a slightly larger punched circle from the same scrap. I used an Martha Stewart border punch on the right side of the card base and then placed pink cardstock under it.
We hope you'll play along with our sketch challenge this week. You'll find the challenge HERE.
The color and design are so soft and lovely Good Job............Lis
ReplyDeleteOh, Vickie.....this is just exquisite! LOVE the pastel pink and all the layering. The die cut border on the main background panel is such a creative way to follow that sketch element!!! Wonderful work of art!!
