This is my first creation as a Design Team member for the Sparkles Challenge Blog! The challenges are anything goes as long as you follow the theme. The challenges run for a month and begin on the 15th of each month. This month's challenge is to use your favorite color combination for your creation.
I used one of my favorite summer color combinations...turquoise and orange! And, the card is one of my favorite styles...overalls! I start with a white 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card base; cut a 2 3/4 inch piece of patterned paper, cut a 1 1/2 inch slit in the center of it and fold it down and adhere to the card front. Cut a 4 x 5 1/2 inch panel of cardstock, run it through the paper crimper to give it the look of corduroy, adhere it to the cardbase, cut 2 strips of paper crimped cardstock for the suspenders and adhere. The pocket and frog are stamped from a retired Stampin Up set called Pocket Fun! Truly a fun card to make!
This month's Sparkles Challenge is sponsored by Di's Digi Download; you could win a $10 voucher:
We hope you'll play along and share your favorite color combination with us! You can find the challenge HERE.
