This week's Oriental Sketch Challenge #39 at Mark's Finest Papers follows this sketch:
For my card, I used the Bird's of the Orient stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers. The cardstock is from my stash and the patterned paper is from an origami paper pad. I used an embossing folder for the background of my card and circle and diamond stamped panels. Embellishments were kept simple by including red gems in the right-hand corners of the embossed layer.
We hope you'll play along with the Oriental Sketch Challenge this week; if you do you will be entered to win a random drawing for the Works of Art stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers!
You can find the challenge HERE.

Stunning!! I LOVE the paler colors you used. So pretty!! I think I will try to use pastels in my Oriental challenge card this week, too.....maybe even a hummingbird! Is that copying too much????
ReplyDeleteI don't have very many Oriental stamps...yet. But your hummingbird makes me think the one I have could work. My card, of course, won't approach the work of art yours is, but I will give it a try! :)
Thanks for sharing this exquisitely beautiful card and for the inspiration!!!
