MFP Stamps Challenge - Tutorial - Double Diagonal Pocket Card

The challenge this week at MFP Stamps Blog has a link to the   double diagonal pocket card tutorial on it.

For my card, I used the MFP Pretty Pears stamp set.  The designer paper is from Stampin' Up.  The top view of my card shows it closed with the tags tucked inside the pockets and the picture below it shows the card open with the tags out of the pockets.

We hope you'll try the tutorial and share your double diagonal pocket cards with us.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge #58 - Add Fabric!

I'm entering my card in the Serendipity Stamps Challenge #58 (SSCB#58) to add fabric!

For my card, I used a piece of denim fabric for the background and adhered it behind the Pretty Pink Posh Decorative Tag 1 die cut.  I stamped the Serendipity Stamps Boots onto watercolor paper, colored the image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and an aqua brush, then die cut using the Serendipity Boots die.  The sentiment is die cut from the Serendipity Howdy die.

The SSCB#58 Add Fabric challenge is found HERE.

MFP Stamps Challenge - Glittered Background

This week's challenge at MFP Stamps Blog is to create a glittered background using the glittered background tutorial.  There is a link to the tutorial on the MFP Stamps Blog.

For my card, I used the MFP stamp set Hello Butterflies.  I have not played with glitter too often so didn't have much on hand to use, but just enough to get a good coating on one strip of tape!  I love the look of this technique and plan to add a few more containers of glitter to my stash for future glitter background projects!

We hope you will follow the tutorial link found on the MFP Stamps Challenge Blog and share your glittered background projects with us.  You can find the challenge HERE.

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Close to Nature

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge is to create a card and/or project with the theme "Close to Nature!"

For my card, I used the Paper Artsy Jofy #12 stamp set.  The sentiment is from the MFP North American Woods stamp set.  The background was created using distress inks direct to an acrylic block then spritzed with water before "stamping" the block onto watercolor paper.

We hope you'll share your Close to Nature cards and/or projects with us at The Sisterhood of Crafters.  You can find the challenge HERE.
