MFP SpeedyTV Oriental Sketch Challenge #60

The Oriental Sketch Challenge is starting 2015 with this sketch:

For my card I flipped the direction of the sketch.  I used the MFP Stamp Shop Tigers image and sentiment.  The layering panels are embossed using an embossing folder.  The background paper is from my stash and has some fuzzy texture to it!  The image and layering / sentiment panels were die cut using Spellbinders dies.  Image was colored using Copic markers.

There are some exciting changes taking place at MFP SpeedyTV this year.  When you enter a challenge at MFP SpeedyTV and use a MFP Stamp Shop stamp set you'll be entered to win a Guest Designer spot and receive 25% off your purchase from the MFP Stamp Shop store during the month you are Guest Designer.  You are encouraged to enter all of the weekly challenges at MFP SpeedyTV.  The more you play, the more chances you have of becoming a Guest Designer!

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - What Did Santa Bring?

I've been a very good girl!  Santa brought me a Brother Scan N Cut machine!  I've not had a lot of time to play with it yet, but what I've done I like!  I used the machine to cut out Rudy Doody Reindeer...beats fussy cutting!  (Rudy is a digi stamp from Daydream Designs).  The Hello sentiment was cut out using the pre-installed words in the Scan N Cut.

We hope you'll share what Santa brought you and play in the challenge.

Crafting When We Can Challenge - Anything But a Card

The Crafting When We Can Challenge #85 is to create Anything But a Card!  The challenge sponsor, Fitztown provided the digital images for the DT to use.  I am showcasing the Fae 9 image.

I decided to create an altered composition book.  I covered it using designer paper from my stash and added some craft lace down the side, some feathers, and a black flower to compliment the DP.  I printed the image and then cut it out using a spellbinders die.  Image is colored using Pearlescent Chalks and Copic Markers.  I stamped the curvy sentiment at the top of the die cut above the image.

We hope you'll share your Anything But a Card project with at Crafting When We Can.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Gruffies and Guests Challenge #13 - Buttons and Bows

The January Challenge at Gruffies and Guests is to use buttons and/or bows or both on your project.  You also need to use either a House Mouse, Happy Hoppers, or Gruffies stamp on your challenge entry.

For my card, I used the Happy Hoppers Puddle Jumper stamp.  I stamped the image using Memento Black ink onto LeBlanche specialty cardstock and colored using Copic markers.  The background paper is from a retired Stampin Up paper pack.  My buttons is from my stash attached to a multi-loop twine bow.  An enamel dot was adhered to the button.

MFP Stamp Shop Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge - Patchwork Design

The Speedy Fox and Friends Blog Challenge at MFP Stamp Shop is to create a patchwork design on the background of your project.

For my card I used a 1 inch punch to punch 9 squares and then mounted them to a cardstock square and layered that onto another cardstock square before adhering to my card base.  I used the dress form and sentiment from the Vintage Fashion stamp set.  I used the Brother Scan N Cut machine to cut out the image.  An embossing folder was also used and vintage photo distress ink used to sponge the edges of the card, images, and patchwork squares.

We hope you'll play along with this week's MFP Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Bretwood Owl 2015 Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I used the Brentwood 2015 digital stamp; colored the image with Copic markers.  Die cut using Lil Inkers stitched die.  The background paper is from the Polka Dot Party Project Life kit; the image is mounted on paper from the same kit.  I used the Project Life dies to cut out the arrow and mat that the image is mounted on.  The sentiment is from the MFP New Year 2013 stamp set.
