Twisted Tuesday Challenge - School Supplies and White Space!

It's almost back to school time and at Twisted Tuesday Challenges we are sharing some school supplies with the TWIST of leaving lots of white space on our card or project!

For my CAS card, I used Hero Arts Brushstrokes stamp set, American Art sentiment, and American Art Lizzie Anne Designs Crayon stamp.  A small clip embellishes the banner sentiment.

We hope you'll play along with our challenge and show us your school supplies and lots of white space on your creation!

MFP Sketch With a Twist Challenge 110 - Polka Dots!

This week's sketch with a Twist uses this sketch and the TWIST is to use Polka Dots on your card!

For my card, I used yellow polka dot cardstock from Amuse Studios and the banners were die cut using Bazill dotted yellow cardstock.  I used a stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., called Lucky Ducks for the image and sentiment.

Crafting When We Can Challenge - Bright Colors!

The Crafting When We Can Challenge is to create a project using bright colors!

For my card, I used bright green scallop and red circle die cuts to create a half-circle card shape and making it to resemble a watermelon!  The seeds were die cut from a Sizzix watermelon die.  This is the perfect shape for this adorable Lacy Sunshine image called Winnie Watermelon!  I colored the image using Copic markers.  I embellished with a multi-loop bow and adhered a pearl in the center.

This Challenge at Crafting When We Can is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine Stamps.

Today's challenge is to make an Advent Calendar. (If you prefer, you could make a Birthday count down Calendar! That way you could use it year round!)

Here is the link to Pat's Tutorial on MFPSpeedyTV.

Instead of a 25 day advent calendar I created a 9 day calendar.  I used an 11 x 14 piece of poster board and covered it with some Christmas wrapping paper for the background.  I used various stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers to decorate each pocket.  The large bow was created using red felt and cutting it out using a die.  A button gem decorates the center of the bow.
