Altered Eclectics February Challenge

If you love to alter, repurpose, recycle, or create mixed media art then the Altered Eclectics challenge is for you!  Altered art only, no cards or ATCs!

I found a box of tumbled marble tiles left over from a home improvement project and decided to make them into drink coasters!

I first dusted each tile using a dry floor sweeper cloth to remove loose dust.  Then, I stamped each tile using a script background stamp and Stazon Black ink.  Let the ink dry then stamped each tile with various images and colored using Copic markers.  I used distress inks to highlight the edges.  An easy and fun project that can be used as a gift.  Note:  I didn't use any fixative to set the stamped tiles as I read that Stazon ink is water proof on the tiles.

This is what the tiles look like before being altered/repurposed!

We hope you'll share your altered projects with us this month!  You can find the Altered Eclectics Challenge HERE.
